• What is the goal of Wonder Ball? In order for ANCS to meet the needs of its students and its mission, it must supplement the funds received from Atlanta Public Schools. As such, the goal of the Wonder Ball is to raise $100,000 to cover the costs of an excellent education. ANCS serves multiple in-town neighborhoods and provides a quality alternative for parents who want to live in-town and allow their children to attend a great school.
• Where is the Georgia Freight Depot? 65 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. SE, Atlanta, GA 30334. For directions, visit http://gba.georgia.gov/freight-room.
  
• Who attends the event? The ANCS Wonder Ball is attended by over 500 school families, neighbors, and supporting companies. You don’t need to be a parent to attend. The Wonder Ball is open to anyone and everyone (except the kids—see below).
• What does an admission ticket get you?  A ticket entitles you to entrance to the event (including the silent and live auction), a dinner and dessert buffet (catered by Endive Publik House), and live music. The dinner buffet will be open from approximately 5:15 pm until 7:30 pm.
  
• What about adult beverages? The cash bar will be open throughout the event and will serve a variety of bottled domestic and imported beers and red and white wines.
• Is childcare available? Childcare is available with advance reservation for a limited number of kids. Please refer to the childcare portion of this website for additional information.
  
• Is parking included?  No, parking is not included in the ticket price. There are several pay surface lots at the venue including:
  • Steve Polk Plaza (immediately in front of the venue) with an average cost of $15.
    
  • Underground Atlanta (across the street from venue) with a $3 fixed cost. This lot will require a little walking (maps/further info at parkopedia).
    
• Can I take MARTA to the event? Yes, the Georgia Freight Depot is right between MARTA's Five Points and Georgia State stations.
  • From Five Points, follow the signs pointing Braves Shuttle/To Street. Take the Peachtree Street exit out of the station and either walk out the station straight ahead at the light to Upper Alabama Street, or before exiting the station, turn right through the doors marked Underground Atlanta and walk through the corridor on Lower Alabama Street. Both streets end at the freight depot, about a block down. Using Underground Atlanta is a better option after dark and in bad weather.
  • From the Georgia State station, take the Piedmont Avenue exit out of the station and turn left on Piedmont. Walk one block to Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. and turn right. The depot is about a half block down on the right in the rear of the Steve Polk Plaza. 
• Will there be Mobile Bidding? We're using Greater Giving Mobile Bidding at the auction again this year. Make sure to bring your smartphone (fully charged) to the Wonder Ball. At check-in, you will be sent a text message with a link to our mobile website where you will place your bids. The great thing is that once you bid, you will receive alerts via text message regarding your standings ... so no more hovering over an item and missing out on the rest of the action. Attendees who do not own or wish to use a mobile phone can place bids on tablets that will be provided at the Tech Bar. That's it! It's a piece of cake, and of course we will have bidding assistants available for help if you need any tech support during the auction.
